Direct AC Current Measurement up to 60 A

DT1622 and DT1623 AC current transmitters

Lower cost, higher accuracy, more flexible processing

The DATCON DT1622 and DT1623 AC current transmitters can measure and transmit AC current values directly up to 60 AAC, without using an external current transformer.
The devices are available in 3 versions with 6 measurement ranges:

  • 0–1 AAC / 0–5 AAC
  • 0–10 AAC / 0–20 AAC
  • 0–40 AAC / 0–60 AAC

The DT1622 is a passive, two-wire transmitter powered by the 4–20 mA current loop. The DT1623 features a frequency output and requires an auxiliary power.
The inputs of the devices comply with CAT III measurement category regulations.
Direct measurement provides a dual advantage:

  • It reduces installation costs by 20–25%.
  • External current transformer errors cannot affect measurement accuracy.
