Outstanding accuracy, with lower system cost

Preserving accuracy and optimizing costs is a constant challenge when designing industrial automation systems.
The DT1104 UI ​​RS4 MODBUS output galvanic isolator offers an effective, direct solution to these tasks.
The device receives analog signals from field transmitters, then converts them directly into digital format and transmits them to the signal processing unit (PLC, DCS) via an RS485 line (with MODBUS RTU/ASCII slave protocol).

Why choose the DT1104 UI ​​RS4 type?

  • High level of interference protection: The three-way galvanic isolation (between input, output and power supply) has an operating isolation voltage of 250 VACeff. This effectively protects the signal processing units from ground loop problems, network transients and electromagnetic noise in the industrial environment, guaranteeing stable and error-free data transmission.
  • Lower system cost: Its use can save on expensive PLC and DCS analog input modules.
  • Simpler infrastructure: Up to 32 devices can be connected to a single common RS485 bus – without repeaters – which drastically reduces field wiring costs.
  • Higher system accuracy: Only one analog-to-digital conversion takes place between the input and the signal processor. The signal quality is guaranteed by excellent technical parameters:
    • Nonlinearity: <0.01%
    • Temperature dependence: <25 ppm / °C (typically)

Flexible configuration and operation
The universal input of the isolator accepts standard current (0/4–20 mA) and voltage signals (0/2–10 V), and also has a built-in 22 V / 24 mA power supply for passive two-wire transmitters.
The device parameterization (input type, scaling, communication) can be easily performed via a USB port using software that can be downloaded for free from the manufacturer’s website. Since the USB interface is galvanically isolated from the input, configuration and diagnostics can be safely performed under operating conditions, even during operation. The front-panel LEDs provide immediate feedback on status and possible errors.

  • DT1104 UI RS4 PS: 230 V ± 10% AC/DC power supply

The DIN rail-mounted design, which is only 12.5 mm wide, allows for space-saving installation in control cabinets.
